ride the waves and strive for the perfect balance

“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life”

Whilst spending some R&R time in the sunshine, away from the crazy pace of London life I wanted to share some of my Mediterranean musings…

Whilst its essential to remain committed to your goals and what you’re trying to achieve, it is of equal importance to also make sure you leave time for pleasure and exploration in other areas of your life as well.

It is not enough to succeed at one specific goal or to conquer one particular area of expertise; you also have to take part in the different and beautiful dimensions of your life… while you can and while there’s still time.

It’s of considerable value to lift your head up from your work every now and then and take a long walk, spend time with your friends, swim, bask in the sunshine, try something new or just sit quietly for a while and contemplate the goodness around you. Aim to achieve balance in your life and for yourself – work diligently toward your dreams but don’t ignore the other aspects.

Keep your mind fresh, your body healthy and your relationships nurtured. Be grateful that you’ve made it this far – that you’re strong enough to breathe, walk and think for yourself – and then ask, “Where do I want to go next?”

Do so, and the things you want most in life will come more naturally.

“Balance is not something you find, it is something you create”
